Dr. Pejman Aflaki completed his training at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery program. Under the tutelage of leaders in plastic surgery, Dr. Aflaki gained extensive experience and skills in a broad spectrum of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery procedures of the face, breast, and body. He is board-certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Aflaki's specialized training and interests include breast reconstruction post breast cancer, using both implants and autologous tissues, including microsurgical techniques like deep inferior epigastric perforators (DIEP) reconstruction. He advocates for a multidisciplinary approach to caring for cancer patients and works closely with other physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize the results.
Dr. Aflaki has expertise in both reconstructive and cosmetic facial procedures. His services include facelifts, neck lifts, rhinoplasty, and various noninvasive techniques, such as BOTOX® and fillers. In addition, he specializes in the "mommy makeover" range of procedures designed to revitalize the breasts and body following childbirth, including breast lift, breast reduction or augmentation, tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), and liposuction.
Dr. Aflaki's core belief is that the primary role of a plastic surgeon is to listen to each patient's concerns attentively to construct individualized, multidimensional plans designed to help achieve their specific goals. He is a devoted clinician who strives toward perfection in every procedure, offering his patients the same level of care they would receive from close personal friends.
Dr. Aflaki is dedicated to advancing his knowledge and expertise in plastic surgery. He actively engages in teaching and keeps himself up-to-date with the latest medical literature through his participation in academic journal clubs and attending national plastic surgery meetings.
When not treating patients, Dr. Aflaki pursues physical fitness and is an avid marathon runner. He is a family man and lives with his wife and two children in the suburbs of Washington, D.C.
Dr. Aflaki completed two years of research in the Laboratory of Tissue Repair and Gene Transfer at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a prominent teaching hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School. He then completed an internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, followed by an extensive general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Morningside, formerly Mount Sinai St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, in New York City. He further refined his expertise through a specialized plastic surgery fellowship at the renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital before joining the Plastic Surgery Services of Fredericksburg.
Dr. Aflaki has made significant contributions to the field of plastic surgery. He has published papers in medical literature and presented his research at local and national meetings, including Plastic Surgery Research Council (PSRC) and American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. His dedication to research and expertise has earned him numerous awards, such as the Joseph E. Murray M.D. resident research award from the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (NESPRS) in 2008 and first prize in the Art and Science category in 2009 from the Plastic Surgery Education Foundation (PSEF) scientific essay contest.
I had my breast augmentation back in May 2024. I am so happy with Dr. Aflaki and the work that he has done. I am close to 4 months post op and am absolutely in love with them. I was so scared to get it done because of all the horror stories I have heard from peers of them getting this procedure done at other places. But this is something I have always dreamed of and when I came in for my consultation I was greeted so warmly from the front desk ladies and the nurse that attended me that day Nurse Jamie was so reassuring and nice. After meeting the Dr I realized that this is an office I could trust. The healing process was smooth, I understand every case is different. For me I wasn't continuously bleeding as I heard that is something a lot of people go through. If I were to do it again I would.

When researching doctors for my rhinoplasty. I visited with a couple of different plastic surgeons that specialize in rhinoplasties but Dr. Aflaki was the obvious choice from the first consult. He took his time explaining everything and removing all doubts about the procedure which made me feel incredibly relieved and more confident to move forward. I ended up having a rhinoplasty and the procedure itself was so much easier than I could have imagined. Recovery was a breeze and painless. which was surprising. I closely followed instructions from Dr.Aflaki everything went really smoothly. I was already feeling like myself after a few days. On August 21st I under went surgery, tummy tuck and lipo 360… I did a lot of research and decided to go with Dr. Aflaki, I followed him on social media and looked out for reviews from other patients of his, for about 6 months before deciding to go forward. I was always amazed at his work and I am very happy I chose him…Dr. Aflaki was very professional, he went over so much with me that I never felt in the dark. I went into surgery very confidently having him as my Dr. He is also pleasant to be around, check ups always went very smooth, always felt comfortable and take care of. His staff was also wonderful to me and made sure my caretaker knew everything he needed to know to care for me after surgery. I am overall very happy with the outcome! My results are amazing! My pre-surgery video was taken Aug 21st, the morning of surgery. My post-surgery photo was taken 2 months and 2 weeks. I feel great, physically and mentally!!
